Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for shaping digital transformation across a complex organisation?  Do you excel at partnering with senior leaders to influence long-term digital direction and enterprise planning?

La Trobe University is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join the Information Services Division as Senior Manager, Planning and Digital Partnering. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to university leaders—ensuring digital initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities, fostering strong relationships across academic and professional areas, and guiding enterprise-wide planning and roadmap development.

This position is ideally suited to professionals with backgrounds such as Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager, IT operational specialist, or similar roles who are ready to step into a strategic partnering position focused on future-state planning, demand management, and strategic alignment.

Please note: This is not a project or program delivery role—it focuses on pre-project strategy, planning, and enterprise engagement.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead integrated planning to align digital initiatives with La Trobe’s strategic priorities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and university stakeholders
  • Shape and support the development of La Trobe’s digital strategy
  • Drive demand management, digital solution identification, and continuous improvement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team and influence university-wide engagement

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven strategic planning and digital transformation experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A deep understanding of digital technologies, platforms, and trends
  • Experience managing complex projects and resources in a large organisation
  • The ability to collaborate, influence and drive cultural and operational change
