 About the position

La Trobe University is seeking an Integration Specialist to design, develop and support enterprise integration services within a complex digital environment. This role focuses on maintaining and improving the integration platform, delivering scalable solutions using middleware and APIs, and ensuring reliable, secure data exchange across systems.

You will work with dedicated integration platforms, applying best practice development and integration patterns. Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders, you will deliver enhancements, resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement of integration capabilities.

This role suits a technically strong integration specialist who enjoys solving complex problems and working in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles, learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with system integration tools in a large, distributed organisation, including experience of system administration, development with Middleware platforms (e.g. SAP Process Orchestration, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, etc or other similar system integration toolkits), API-led web services (e.g. REST API ,SOAP, JSON, and XML), and SQL Queries.
  • Ability to apply theoretical knowledge or management or policy expertise to bring together diverse and sometimes conflicting information to solve new or one off problems.
  • Ability to develop innovative methodologies or take a leading role in the application of proven techniques involving considerable theoretical and technical sophistication.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
