About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced legal professional to step into a key senior role within our Legal team. As Senior Legal Counsel – Disputes & Regulatory Compliance, your focus will be leading our response to litigation and disputes, while also supporting regulatory compliance across our operations.

This role reports directly to the General Counsel - Wagering & Corporate and offers high visibility and impact. You'll partner with senior executives, manage complex litigation matters, and help navigate a fast-changing regulatory landscape. More specifically, you will:

  • Lead and manage disputes, litigation, arbitration, and mediation across the business.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters, including competition law and investigations.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments, advising the business on necessary adaptations.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to support product development and business initiatives with proactive legal input.
  • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, commercially focused guidance for non-legal teams.
  • Brief and manage external counsel on high-risk and complex matters, ensuring alignment with business priorities.

About You

You’re a confident and commercially minded legal advisor with a strong background in regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. You think strategically, communicate clearly, and influence decisively. You bring:

  • A law degree and current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • 8+ years’ post-admission experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm and/or senior in-house legal role.
  • Strong expertise in litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience advising in complex, highly regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach and sound legal judgement.
