What you’ll do
This is your chance to steer the future of Tabcorp’s MAX Venue Services. As Head of the business, you’ll drive strategy, inspire teams, and deliver exceptional service to our venue partners primarily across Queensland.
From spotting growth opportunities and refining the product roadmap to leading key negotiations and overseeing sales, this is a high-impact role at the heart of our operations. You’ll work cross-functionally, lead a high-performing team, and be the go-to for our valued customers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Shape and drive a strategic business plan aligned to Tabcorp’s vision—unlocking growth, enhancing customer experiences, and maximising value across MAX.
- Lead the execution of our sales, product, training, marketing, and venue performance strategy.
- Use insights and market data to identify and deliver commercial opportunities that drive revenue and margin.
- Own key customer relationships—negotiating new and renewal agreements that make commercial sense and deliver mutual value.
- Build and nurture a high-performing, collaborative team culture with a focus on capability development.
- Lead financial planning and capital allocation to deliver on budget and performance targets.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and influence outcomes.
- Keep senior leaders informed with regular updates on market trends, business performance, and key initiatives.
- Represent MAX in industry forums—championing innovation, growth, and regulatory leadership.
- Ensure we meet all compliance and regulatory requirements, including AUSTRAC and AML/CTF obligations.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commercial, or Management.
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a senior commercial role—ideally in gaming, entertainment or a regulated environment.
- A strong strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to leadership and execution.
- Track record of identifying growth opportunities and translating them into commercial success.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and capital spend.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you’re comfortable influencing at all levels.
- Deep understanding of compliance and risk frameworks in regulated environments.
