What you’ll do

The Data Analyst-Wagering, plays a central role in transforming raw data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role involves owning datasets, building reusable data assets with dbt, designing analyses, building scalable dashboards, and collaborating across business functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Transform and analyse structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (databases, API etc)
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools (tableau).
  • Provide deep-dive analysis and ad-hoc reporting to support various business functions
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand needs and deliver insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities and insights in data and recommend actions to stakeholders
  • Document data processes and methodologies
  • Mentor junior data analysts

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics)
  • 2-4 years of hands-on data analysis, analytics engineering, or data engineering experience in a business setting
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams
  • Strong SQL and python skills
  • Proficient in data visualization tools (esp Tableau)
  • Experience with spreadsheets (Excel for ad hoc work)
  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis
  • Exposure to a modern data stack (e.g. Git, SQL-based warehouses such as Databricks
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, Cloud-based tools such as Databricks, AWS and dbt
