Your next opportunity:

Reporting into the Electrical Supervisor, we are looking for an Electrical Tradesperson to join the Quarry team on a permanent basis. The primary focus of this hands-on role will be to maintain all electrical items and processes for our Petrie (Whiteside) Quarry, just north of Brisbane. The successful applicant will be registered and hold the required competence as defined by the Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee.

Your day will involve:

  • Responsible for the electrical compliance of all plant and equipment used onsite.
  • Manage and maintain all electrical records including the Electrical Mines Record
  • Manage a weekly work schedule and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out tests, inspections and maintenance works on site, often before site opens for the day.
  • Carry out site install works on new equipment and upgrades of existing equipment.
  • Carry out job planning, including assessing required work equipment, etc.
  • Request and organise quotes and order parts.

What are we looking for?

  • A current, valid and unrestricted QLD Electrical Mechanic license
  • Hold a current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue Competency
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • Familiarity with automation/control systems
  • Experience in electrical estimating
  • Industrial fault finding experience
  • Experience in mining or extraction industries preferred
  • Familiar with the QLD Electrical Safety Regulations and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Regulations
