Your next opportunity 

Based in Mugga, we are looking for a responsible and experienced Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our Mugga team.  Laboratory Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to work independently by conducting sampling, testing, physical analysis, maintenance of records, reporting of results of our concrete products. 

 

Your day will involve:

  • Sampling and making concrete samples on site.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operation
  • Maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by the Section Head - Concrete

 

What are we looking for? 

  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Previous concrete and/or aggregate laboratory testing is desirable
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline such as Civil, Chemical or Materials is desirable but not essential
  • Well developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data such as QestLab
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • An ability to cope with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry testing standards
  • Strong analytical skills and a customer focus
