Your next opportunity:      

We are actively seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to join our team in Lysterfield VIC. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, the focus of this role will be to assist with the crushing and screening of quarry products, general maintenance and plant housekeeping as well as plant operation in accordance with quality standards and project requirements.

Your day will involve: 

• Safe operation of crushing & processing plant
• Fixed plant basic maintenance & cleaning
• Basic servicing of fixed plant equipment
• Identify and respond to problems, breakdowns and changes in routine.
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting
• The flexibility to work Monday to Saturday.
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Active contribution to achieving our goal of Zero Harm
• Be a self-starter who can work without direct supervision.

What are we looking for? 

• Proven experience in a mechanical, manufacturing or maintenance role (Desirable)
• Experience in quarry mobile and fixed plant operations will be highly regarded
• A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus
• Ability to safely and effectively carry out multiple roles in an operational environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Availability and commitment to work Monday to Saturday
