Production Operator

Your next opportunity:      

Our Boral Cement team is looking for an enthusiastic Production Operator to join our diverse team based in Maldon. Reporting through to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to the Production Superintendent; Production Team Leader and Operational teams to achieve set targets and budgets by following daily operational plans. This is an entry level role where you are provided with training to progress to the role of Production Operator Advanced.

Your day will involve:  

  • Perform routine tasks as required by the Company using limited judgment and exercising minimal discretion, consistent with level of skill and training.
  • Operate touch screen controlled rotary packers that fill paper bags with cement.
  • Operate automated pallet loading machines.
  • Fault find to resolve operational issues. 
  • Participates in isolation tasks as directed and under supervision.
  • Forklift and Front End Loader experience an advantage. Training can be given.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with any business improvement initiative or process introduced by the Company from time to time.
  • Some manual handling including 20kg cement bags, tool and equipment
  • Comply with and adhere to Company Standard Operating Procedures, and all operational and workplace policies of the Company, as amended from time to time.

  • Genuine commitment to workplace safety
  • Experience and competencies operating forklifts, front end loaders, dump trucks & mobile plant equipment is highly desirable
  • Ability to participate in daily rosters and changing shifts
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Energetic, motivated Team Player
