Based in Cooma (Snowy Mountains), we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Laboratory Supervisor. Working independently this role reports to the Laboratory Services Mgr (NSW) and involves running an on-site project lab based in the Snowy Mountains area. There will be 4 or 5 Supervisors working across the Rosters and locations. This role will be on a 2:1 roster drive in/out of Cooma. All accommodation and meals will be provided.
Your day will involve
- Manage a small team of technicians to deliver to the client’s needs and internal requirements
- Conduct sampling of both concrete and quarry materials.
- Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
- Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations
- Maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.
- Other duties as directed by the Laboratory Services Mgr (NSW)
What are we looking for?

- Previous concrete or quarry laboratory testing
- Nata signatory for concrete or Aggregates tests
- Demonstrated skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
