Your next opportunity

Based in Cooma (Snowy Mountains), we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Laboratory Supervisor.  Working independently this role reports to the Laboratory Services Mgr (NSW) and involves running an on-site project lab based in the Snowy Mountains area. There will be 4 or 5 Supervisors working across the Rosters and locations. This role will be on a 2:1 roster drive in/out of Cooma. All accommodation and meals will be provided.

Your day will involve

  • Manage a small team of technicians to deliver to the client’s needs and internal requirements
  • Conduct sampling of both concrete and quarry materials.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations
  • Maintenance of the Laboratory according to NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by the Laboratory Services Mgr (NSW)

 

What are we looking for?

  • A good set of leadership skills
  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Previous concrete or quarry laboratory testing 
  • Nata signatory for concrete or Aggregates tests 
  • Demonstrated skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
