Based at our North Ryde office and reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, we have an opportunity for an Allocator to join our NSW Cement business. Primary responsibilities of this permanent position are to receive and process cement orders from customers and plan deliveries across NSW according to truck and driver availability across a fleet of 130 trucks. You will have the chance to work as part of a small, friendly and cohesive team committed to delivering exceptional customer service to each customer whilst also supporting each other as a well-functioning team. Working within a high energy environment, this position will best suit an individual who can think on their feet and meticulously plan head.

Your day will involve:

  • Process customer orders to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Interface with our truck network to coordinate a cost-effective supply arrangement with customers
  • Utilise computerised systems to view stock levels, coordinate despatch and allocate loads to trucks
  • Utilise truck tracking systems to monitor deliveries and provide delivery status information to customers
  • Partner with internal production, sales, technical and transport teams

What are we looking for?

  • Team player with excellent communication, customer service, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and meet the challenges of an ever-changing fast paced environment while maintaining high service levels
  • Computer proficiency
  • Previous logistics experience ideally with allocations, planning, despatch, general freight and/or warehousing is desirable
  • NHVR fatigue management knowledge is preferred by not essential as full training will be offered.
