We are on the lookout for experienced maintenance professionals or experienced Plant Operators to primarily perform maintenance inspections within the Cosgrove Quarry.

This is the maintenance Plant Operator position carries out plant inspections and identifies works to be completed to increase plant availability, will also be given the opportunity to learn and operate Heavy Mobile Equipment such as Loaders, Excavators, Haul trucks etc. To ensure continuous crushing plant operation.

As a Plant Operator at our Cosgrove Quarry, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment.

Your day will involve:

• Report and perform maintenance inspections on HME's and Fixed plants and whilst preparing them for after hour maintenance
• Safe operation of front-end loader and other quarry mobile plant as required (Haul Truck, Excavator and/or Dump Truck)
• Safe operation of both fixed and mobile crushing plant
• Learning to find mechanical faults and conducting basic maintenance and plant housekeeping
• Active participation in problem solving and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting

What are we looking for?

• Experience in maintenance or mechanics - being able to demonstrate good mechanical knowledge and identifying faults
• Quarry experience highly regarded, but not essential
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
• Availability to work Monday to Saturday
