The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Quality Management & Systems Manager based in Sydney, who will report to our Technical and Quality Manager. The purpose of the role is to Lead, Maintain and continually improve the Concrete Metro Quality Management System.

This role ensures that Boral consistently meets product, process and regulatory requirements across its metro & regional concrete operations.

Daily Duties:

• Possess a strong technical understanding of concrete mix designs, rheology and mix performance enabling ownership of quality outcomes within the business
• Effective collaboration with internal technical teams to manage and implement mix design changes
• Communicate with internal stakeholders on quality issues and ensuring internal & external customer requirements and expectations are met
• Regularly visit metro and regional concrete plants to conduct quality checks, review operational performance and support continuous improvement initiative
• Responsible for conducting regular reporting on quality performance of concrete operations and other relevant quality paraments, ensuring compliance with company standards and business expectations
• Developing guidelines for improving quality of manufacturing and operation
• Liaise closely with the Technical Manager and Operational Leads with the objective of improving product quality and reducing non-conformances as well as control the relevant data collection and analysis systems
• Taking ownership of working with external service providers to ensure ISO certification is continuously maintained through active engagement in audits, regular reporting and ongoing compliance activities

About you?

• Minimum 5 years industry experience
• Sound technical knowledge of Concrete Products
• Proven ability and experience in supervising QA operations
• Strong proficiency with relevant systems for monitoring and reporting data
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to engage effectively across all levels in the organisation and lead and influence people with a strong safety focus
