Lead and support our dynamic team at Boral’s Montrose Concrete Plant and play a key role in Building Something Great. 

The primary focus of this role will be the batching and dispatching of concrete as well as front end loader operation in accordance with quality standards and project requirements. You will also oversee operations and will involve day-to-day decision making, delegation of tasks and enforcing of safety rules, policies and procedures.

Reporting into the Area Manager, you will play a key part in the Montrose leadership team and will ensure the plant is operating to its highest standards.

Your Day Will Involve:

• Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs utilising the Command Batch program and the docket dispatch system;
• Managing day to day administration of the Concrete Batch Plant including stock control of raw materials;
• Batching of the correct concrete mix and allocating trucks;
• Reporting on cost estimates and monthly forecasts;
• Managing day to day activities including overseeing a fleet of contractors and,
• General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance, along with the safe operation of a front end loader.

What are we looking for?

• Relevant batching and/or concrete industry experience with supervisory skills;
• A strong commitment to safety and the environment along with a superior customer focus;
• A current HR drivers licence and FEL will be highly regarded;
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills along with sound computer literacy and
• Experience in the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles will be highly regarded.
