Working at our vital quarry in Charlton as a Plant Operator, you will utilize your problem solving, teamwork and machine operating skills to be at the heart of our production processes, ensuring that our quarry runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is an entry level role for individuals with a 'go getter' attitude and an eagerness to learn the trade. Your days will involve learning the quarrying industry, learning to operate heavy machinery such as loaders, dump trucks, excavators, backhoes and more!
This position will require someone that is open to working shift work, and working early mornings.
Your Day will involve:
- Attending daily toolbox briefings
- Learning to operate heavy machinery
- Learning fixed and mobile plant operations
- undertaking courses and studies to obtain tickets for machine operations.
- Operating front-end loaders to weigh and load materials.
- General housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Upholding and following safety standards and procedures.
