Based in Orange Grove, we are looking for a responsible and experienced individual to join our team as a Quarry Laboratory Supervisor.  Working independently this role reports to the Laboratory Services Manager (WA) and involves running an on-site lab. As it will be a small team the supervisor will be required to also do sampling and testing of quarry materials.  

Your day will involve:

  • Supervise a small team of technicians to support Quarry testing.
  • Conduct sampling of both concrete and quarry materials.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with laboratory work instructions, test methods, preparation instructions and manuals.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain, observe, and take part in the statutory safety requirements of the Laboratory operations

What are we looking for?

  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Cert 4 Laboratory Techniques (essential)
  • Previous concrete or quarry laboratory testing (essential)
  • Signatory level of AS and MR WA Test Methods  (desirable)
  • Well-developed skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting data
  • Good communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Australian and Industry standards
  • Leadership skills
