We now have a great opportunity available for a qualified Tradesperson to join our Boral Concrete Transit Mixer Field Maintenance team based out of Wacol. This opportunity could be considered for a Trades Assistant for the right candidate. 

Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to undertake and oversee the service and maintenance requirements for transit mixer equipment as per field service on an afternoon shift team working between 14:00-22:00 with reasonable overtime available. 

What your day will look like: 

• Work in a small team of 2, with team focused team member 
• Ensuring transit mixer equipment and heavy vehicles comply with relevant safety standards 
• Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with company requirements for operational purposes and to allow the business to meet objectives 
• Field Service based tasks on afternoon shift – with a shift loading allowance 
• Ensuring all relevant permits and safety paperwork is in place before commencement of tasks 
• Monitoring plant equipment for any defects, utilising our maintenance system 
• Undertake equipment assessments and reviews and develop improvement plans 

What we are looking for: 

• Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic 
• This opportunity could be considered for a Trades Assistant for the right candidate with previous experience 
• HR License (preferred) 
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and a safety-first focus 
• Forward thinking and a person who takes pride in their work 
• A reasonable level of safety maturity, looking out for themselves and their teammates! 
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships 
• Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision
