About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mandurah Concrete Plant, ensuring production, safety, quality, and customer service targets are consistently achieved.

As a hands-on leader, you'll create a positive team culture, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and effectively every day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading daily concrete plant operations and production activities.
  • Batching concrete orders accurately using automated systems.
  • Coordinating deliveries to meet customer schedules and expectations.
  • Championing workplace safety through toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safe work practices.
  • Managing production schedules, stock control, and operational reporting.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, drivers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating plant maintenance and conducting regular site inspections.
  • Ensuring compliance with Boral's safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and high-performing work environment.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience within concrete, manufacturing, quarrying, construction, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience with a focus on developing and supporting teams.
  • A strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound computer skills and experience with production or reporting systems.
  • The ability to work autonomously while driving team performance.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and problem-solving mindset.

Desirable

  • Previous concrete batching experience.
  • HR Driver's Licence.
  • Front End Loader (FEL) ticket or mobile plant experience.
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
