Your next opportunity

Lead the people and plant behind one of Boral’s most important upstream operations. Marulan Lime supplies our downstream businesses and external customers, and this role keeps it running safely, reliably and at the standard our customers expect.

As Production and Maintenance Manager, you will plan and coordinate production and maintenance at the Marulan Lime Works. You will lead a sizeable, established and diverse team, and report to the General Manager Maldon and Marulan Lime.

If you are a hands-on leader who wants to build trust, develop people and deliver results, this could be your next step.

Your day will involve:

  • Deliver production: manage production, technical, quality, environment and site support activities to meet forecast volume and mix, on time and to specification.
  • Run the shifts: coordinate day-to-day operations so we meet budget, efficiency and quality targets safely and responsibly.
  • Drive performance: monitor plant utilisation, capacity and technical performance against targets, and lead corrective action, including root cause analysis.
  • Keep the plant reliable: coordinate maintenance of fixed plant and site mobile equipment so production runs without surprises.
  • Manage costs: keep operating costs and recoveries within agreed budgets and schedules, using our financial and reporting systems.
  • Protect our licence to operate: meet statutory obligations, corporate standards and community expectations for environmental management and sustainability.
  • Lift quality: work with the Quality Manager to apply quality systems consistently, including employee training.
  • Grow your people: coach, mentor and manage performance to build a skilled, productive team and a respectful workplace.
  • Lead on safety: follow and promote our safety policies, monitor the Hazard Log, run safety meetings and communication, and deliver our safety KPIs and programs.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in construction, mining or manufacturing, ideally in cement or lime
  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering
  • Knowledge of continuous process industries, including heavy machinery and manufacturing
  • A solid understanding of maintenance systems and fixed plant maintenance
  • A bias for action and a strong focus on safety
  • Proven people leadership, with the ability to build trust, influence and lead.

What's on offer?

  • A permanent, full-time role with a market leader
  • A genuine commitment to Zero Harm, in an industry that creates lasting value for the community
  • The chance to be part of our sustainability journey
  • The opportunity to purchase additional leave
  • Generous paid parental leave
  • Australian-owned and operated, with a strong legacy and a clear future.
