About the Role:

Are you ready to take the lead in a fast-paced logistics environment? We’re looking for a Transport Planning Team Lead to join our Coryton site — someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys leading people, and wants to make a real difference to customer experience and operational success.

Why Join Us?

  • Lead & inspire – manage and develop a team of Planners, driving daily performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Make an impact – be at the centre of delivery planning, ensuring efficiency, safety, and reliability.

  • Shape your career – gain exposure to senior stakeholders, contribute to site strategy, and step into a visible leadership role.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Experience in logistics or transport planning.

  • Strong decision-making skills under pressure.

  • A customer-first approach with a keen eye for efficiency.

  • Excellent communication skills — face to face, by phone, and in writing.

  • A collaborative and proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • A safety-first attitude in everything you do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning the daily delivery plan — from scheduling to reconciliation.

  • Responding quickly to real-time challenges (vehicle issues, emergencies, last-minute customer needs).

  • Communicating clearly with Customer Service, Distribution, and Planning teams.

  • Acting as site lead in the absence of the Transport Controller.

  • Coaching and developing your team through regular feedback and reviews.

  • Supporting site initiatives including safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement projects.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step up into leadership, influence change, and play a key role in transforming our transport planning function. You’ll have the chance to:

  • Lead a motivated team and shape performance.

  • Build leadership skills and gain exposure to senior decision-making.

  • Contribute directly to site and regional success.

What we can offer you:

  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Company Pension Scheme (Salary sacrifice - single matched contributions to 4.5% for first 2 years, upto 7.5% after 2 years)
  • Life Assurance
  • Staff discounts on gas
