Join our Student Administration Team as our Graduations Officer, where you will gain unmatched experience working at The University during a time of exciting growth. This is vital operational support role, responsible for assisting the coordination of graduation ceremonies.

The Division of Academic and Student Engagement (DASE) partners with students, staff and the broader community to deliver an outstanding student experience. At the heart of the student experience are transformational opportunities in learning and teaching.

Student Administration Operations provides streamlined, integrated and intuitive administration services and systems to enable successful student progression through their university lifecycle. The Student Administration Operations unit includes Coursework Scholarships and Prizes, Enrolments, Examinations and Results, Graduations, Student Data and Reporting, Timetabling and Planning, and Student Systems.

Working under general direction, the Graduations Officer will support the delivery of the final University of Adelaide graduation ceremonies, by providing operational support for the graduations function and assisting with the coordination of the graduation ceremonies. The Graduations Officer monitors graduation eligibility checks and assesses anomalous data within conferral and presentation events. They also liaise with a wide range of external providers to arrange ceremony logistics and maintain the Graduations website and MyAdelaide.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated customer service experience, ability to work and contribute in a team environment to achieve required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a high level of flexibility and adaptability in order to undertake or deliver a range of functions, to meet the business needs of an organisation.
  • Experience in organising and undertaking multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Able to apply effective problem-solving skills to a range of issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle secure documents and sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
