Working under general direction, the Administrative Officer (Counselling) will be responsible for provision of day-to-day administrative operations and reception for the Counselling Service and provide information to assist students and others accessing the Counselling Service. The position works closely with the Student Life services

Student Life deliver efficient and responsive student services that contribute to the overall student experience. Student Life is responsible for consistent enquiry management and non-academic support and advice throughout the student lifecycle in relation to wellbeing, accommodation, grievances and complaints and specialised international student services. The Student Life unit includes Ask Adelaide, International Student Support, Student Wellbeing and Access, Student Affairs and Accommodation Service.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results.
- Demonstrated experience in customer relations maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level administrative tasks including excellent organisational, and time management skills
- Experience in the utilisation of a range of PC based hardware and software applications, including competency across the full Microsoft office suite of programs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with people with disabilities, from non-English-speaking backgrounds or displaying challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction and work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a University environment is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
