Eligibility: All Fixed-Term, Permanent or continuing appointment UNICEF staff members currently working in UNICEF worldwide.
Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this stretch assignment is to provide technical support for the development and submission of key donor proposals aligned with strategic priorities and the upcoming CPD 2027–2031. The assignment will focus on drafting and finalizing proposals and concept notes.
Duration
This stretch assignment will be for a period of three (3) months.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft and finalize proposals and concept notes for different donors in Education, Nutrition, WASH, Health Screening, Climate Change & WASH, Integrated PHC, Solarization, Supply…
• Ensure quality assurance and donor alignment across all proposals.
Key Deliverables
• Submission-ready donor proposals and concept notes.
• Review of the proposal for checklists and final handover note.
Collaboration Across Sections
The incumbent will work closely collaborate with the International UN Volunteer Resource Mobilization and Partnership, under the overall guidance and supervision of the Representative and in coordination with both Deputy Representatives for Programme and Operations.
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies
Education:
• Master’s degree in international relations, Public Policy, Management, Sociology, Business Administration or other related fields is required.
Work Experience:
• A minimum of five or eight years of relevant experience in proposal writing and resource mobilization, donor relations and partnership.
• Experience of private sector engagement and fundraising work with UNICEF.
• Strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills
• Fluency in English required, knowledge of French or Portuguese is highly desirable.

Funding arrangement
This is a temporary development opportunity and there will be no changes to the staff member’s status (position number, level, etc.).
The Office will cover the ticket for economy class travel and 100% of the UN DSA rate during the first 30 days, and 50% DSA for the remaining time.
