Your new role At NewDay

As part of the Supplier Management team, you will be responsible for the governance activities, day-to-day management, oversight and optimisation across multiple suppliers aligned to the NewDay Platform business, to add value to the business and support our regulatory requirements.  Includes strategic  suppliers across areas including Data & Platforms, Products, Change, Software, Information Security & Business Management. This is a key role in our strategic partnerships with material suppliers, central to the success of business objectives across multiple functions. You will be crucial in establishing mutually compatible stretching objectives and a shared agenda that delivers value for both parties, minimises supplier risk, reduces the cost of doing business and ensures alignment and transparency in approach.

0-12 months you’ll deliver

Manage multiple supplier assurance and framework adherence in line with NewDay’s Governance expectations, demonstrating supplier adherence to relevant controls, policies and standards as outlined through contractual agreements and mandated processes

 

  • Work closely with key business partners to understand and document the flow of data within our business
  • Supplier governance requirements across all supplier classifications including: Material; Key; Support; Operational and Transactional
  • Oversee new Supplier on-boarding
  • Build and manage effective relationships ensuring full collaboration from internal teams and suppliers in order to drive performance improvement
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance testing and controls for data control, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective action plans to address issues
  • Optimise processes and reduce risks associated with suppliers whilst also delivering commercial and operational value

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Building and maintaining successful relationships - an ability to lead, create, develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, enabling identification of areas for improvement to then implementing solutions.
  • Analytical capabilities with the ability to optimise the use of data and MI.
  • Ability to work in a lively, fast-paced team environment whilst remaining calm under pressure to achieve challenging deadlines.
  • Incident analysis, understanding and resolution.

  • Managing suppliers and/or external relationships in a regulated environment
