Senior Specialist, Existing Customer Profitability & Analytics

Your new role at NewDay

In this high-profile role, you will lead on strategy development and optimisation across a range of existing customer commercial strategies that are critical to the delivery of NewDay P&L outcomes.

You will be the commercial lead across several strategies, including Balance Growth, engagement & retention, and Credit Limit initiatives, working alongside Product, Marketing & Credit Risk teams to ensure NewDay achieves its commercial objectives. The position includes end-to-end responsibility for driving portfolio health: from commercial analytics, effective performance monitoring and financial planning through to data targeting and implementation.

0-12 months you'll deliver

• Programmes impacting portfolio growth and yield.
• Analytical/insight delivery within commercial strategy & analytics including coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• Identification of pockets & segments of untapped value and act on these opportunities.
• (In partnership with Change Delivery team) Complex strategic initiative projects and ensure full delivery in a timely manner with the appropriate quality, cost control & commercial impact.

What you'll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• Quantitative analytical skills within Financial Services.
• SQL/Excel with experience of manipulating complex data to generate insights and recommendations.
• Presenting findings & analysis in a structured way, particularly when addressing a non-expert audience.
• Collaborative operating style with ability and mind-set to get stuck in and support wider team objectives.
• Planning and change ownership, proven capability to deliver complex projects.

And would love you to know or learn:

• Working on/with consumer lending products (cards / loans / mortgages) and the regulatory environment they operate in.
• Delivery of complex change in financial services.
• Python
