About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injuries Team in our Maroochydore office. This role would suit an experienced Legal Assistant who is looking to build their skills with higher duties in a well-known, national firm. To thrive in this role, you will bring strong organisational and customer service skills, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, a proven ability to handle pressure and conflicting priorities and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the Maurice Blackburn values and advocate for clients to make a positive difference in their lives
  • Provide support and mentoring to legal support staff
  • Deliver a courteous and efficient service to clients, callers, and visitors.
  • Bolster the office team by providing exceptional legal assistance, administrative support, and client service.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, enhancing capabilities and performance.
  • Assume ownership of confidential administrative and legal tasks, working with a high level of precision and professionalism
  • Work proactively to provide support where needed within the team to maintain efficiency and high performance

The experience we are looking for

  • Experience preferred as a Senior Legal Assistant within Personal Injuries (or similar), or Legal Assistant experience in excess of 3 years.
  • A working knowledge of court and legal procedures
  • Unwavering attention to detail, coupled with a methodical approach to tasks
  • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and general computer literacy.

  • A proactive attitude, characterized by continuous learning and embracing constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and swift responsiveness to issues and inquiries.
