How will you contribute to ensuring access to justice for all? 

We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Complex Litigation Team within Queensland Personal Injuries based in our Brisbane office on a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized legal assistant to join our dynamic litigation team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Special Counsel in managing complex litigation matters.

The successful candidate will have solid experience as a Legal Assistant, looking to expand their knowledge within complex litigation. You will work closely with the Paralegal in this team to ensure seamless support is provided to the Special Counsel.

The experience we are looking for

• Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a plaintiff law firm or assistant in a professional services firm is desirable;
• Experience working within a Personal Injuries practice group is preferable;
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with a diverse range of clients including non-English backgrounds;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Excellent organisational and time management skills;
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with competing demands
• Ability to work in a team; and

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
