About the Role - Primary Purpose / Focus of Duties:
- Deliver client-focused recruitment, selection and employment practice related expertise, advice and assistance to managers and employees, and contribute to the effective management of employees and vacancies in accordance with relevant legislation and Homes Tasmania policy, focusing on providing a flexible approach and offering innovative solutions to complex employment and recruitment practice related issues within established frameworks, supporting capacity building in these areas by guiding and mentoring hiring managers.
- Provide high level specialist HR advice, support and client-focused services to managers and employees, particularly in relation to recruitment and selection, organisational structures, job design, analysis and classification, administration of the Agency establishment, development, management and reporting of workforce data and HR metrics.
Position Selection Criteria includes:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the areas of employment and recruitment (including the use of human resources related systems and software), an understanding of related policy and legislation, and the ability to apply this in the Tasmanian State Service context.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in an HR role, including a sound working knowledge of job design, classification, establishment and project management principles and Tasmanian State Service employment policy and practices, with an understanding of the consequences of organisational change on the job design and establishment management processes, coupled with the ability to accurately interpret and apply awards, agreements and policy documents.
- Well-developed computer skills including demonstrated competency in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database packages.

Salary: $98,255.00 to $103,069.00 per annum pro-rata
