Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months

Duties

• Develop, maintain and implement a program delivery performance framework and provide high level management analysis and advice on the development of the Department’s management policies and procedures particularly in regard to ensuring quality and timeliness in the preparation of key project deliverables.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the State Roads Capital Investment Program Project Management Framework, including directing and supporting the Senior Framework Development Officer.
• Manage the administration of State and Commonwealth funding approvals processes including reporting on the scheduling of the approvals and compliance with policy across a diverse Government capital investment program within State Roads.
• Direct and support the Programming Officer in administering funding deeds, consultant contracts, land acquisition, and project and program reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project clients, project management team leaders and project managers delivering the capital investment program across the Transport and Infrastructure Group.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Commonwealth Government and Local Government as required in connection with delivering the capital investment program.
• Effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of professional services by external consultants in accordance with the Department’s Provision of Professional Services Contract.
• Apply high level technical skills and knowledge to manage complex issues and specify, monitor and assess the quality of works and services provided by internal staff and external consultants and contractors in accordance with Government and Departmental policies, procedures and specifications.

Desirable Requirements

• Undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications or experience in construction, project management, contract management, financial management or any other area relevant to the selection criteria
