Job description:

Provide high-level support services across key Corporate Information Support (CIS) functions, including Reference and Research Services, Information Management (IM) and Microsoft 365 (M365). Assist with the delivery of library services including undertaking searches across multiple resources, maintaining library management systems as required.

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months.

Duties

  • Provision of high-level help desk services and support of State Growth’s corporate information and document management systems including Content Manager and Microsoft Teams (SharePoint). Provide an escalation point within the CIS Operations Team, responding to and helping to resolve complex issues.
  • Support and delivery of training in the operation of information management tools and resources and, where required, undertake hot topic style sessions for staff.  
  • Provide timely and solution focussed advice regarding information management practices within the team and across the Department.
  • Create and update training manuals, procedures, advice sheets, video tutorials and the CIS intranet page.
  • Undertake a range of system tasks in alignment with predefined procedures covering all aspects of file and document management including storage, location tracking and security management.
  • Generate reports to identify efficiencies, enhance operational effectiveness, and ensure regulatory compliance in information management.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge about contemporary information management systems and developments and assist in the assessment of suitability and implementation of new systems as required. 
  • Assist in the implementation of specific projects including the rollout of, and upgrades to, the Department’s (Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) & Microsoft 365 tools, predominantly MS Teams (SharePoint).
  • Provide client-focussed library services, including maintenance of the library catalogue and performing corporate searches using appropriate databases and resources as required.
  • Perform any other assigned duties at the classification level that are within the employee’s competence and training.

Desirable Requirements

  • Diploma or similar qualification in field of Information Management, and/or relevant experience and subject matter expertise.
