Job description:

Provide information management support services across Department of State Growth to facilitate access and the continual improvement of usage of departmental information management systems which includes electronic records management systems, Microsoft 365 capability related to information management, library catalogue and databases. Assist staff across the department to build confidence and skills to comply with information management requirements by participating in delivering support and training, providing help desk services and support and solutions to issues and problems.

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months.

Duties

  • Provision of quality help desk service and support in the use of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), Microsoft Teams and Library resources.
  • Provide solution focussed advice and problem solving on information management to enhance system use and promote efficient management of electronic and physical records in line with best practices.
  • Support and deliver training activities to improve usage of systems by clients and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Undertake a range of client focussed library services, including maintenance of the library catalogue and performing corporate searches using appropriate databases and resources.
  • General recordkeeping duties such as information storage and security, document scanning and registration, electronic and hard copy filing, research and collection of documents from offsite storage facilities and other related activities as required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of often highly sensitive and personal information.
