Job description:
Provide a comprehensive level of administrative coordination and support to the Legal and Governance team to ensure high standards of service are maintained.

Period of Appointment
Appointment to the role is on a fixed-term, full-time basis, for 12 months.
Duties
- Undertake Right to Information (RTI) application administration tasks, including monitoring the mailbox, reviewing received applications for compliance with the RTI Regulations, acknowledging applications, sending internal notifications, preparing information packages for assessment, and monitoring deadlines. Work in this area may progress to delegated decision making responsibility for routine low-level matters.
- Undertake routine board appointment administration tasks in accordance with relevant legislation, articles of association, guidelines and policies, including monitoring director terms, preparing routine Ministerial and Cabinet Minutes and correspondence, liaising with external bodies for performance reports and selection documentation, and completing regular reports for Ministers and others.
- Organise the Tasmanian Development and Resources (TDR) and its committees, including scheduling meetings, calling for papers, circulating agendas, papers and minutes, and liaising with members and attendees.
- Ensure business records are filed in accordance with the department’s business rules and the Archives Act.
- Maintain registers, including the RTI and internal review registers, and assist with the preparation of reporting from such registers.
- Undertake other duties that may be required to support the Director and assist in the effective and efficient administration of the team.
