We are seeking a Senior Program Officer with experience in project and grant management; skills to support internal and external stakeholders with accurate advice; and ability to manage and maintain internal records and systems

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 12 months.

Duties

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of projects and programs, including the preparation, assessment and evaluation of project plans and program guidelines, procurement and budget resource allocation and management.
  • Manage projects and related communications channels that elevate and support Jobs Tasmania’s program of work - including the Regional Jobs Hubs, and Employment and Participation programs.
  • Work with program partners and stakeholders to improve practice and collaboration - connect service providers, government, businesses and industry and encourage productive relationships that enable more Tasmanians to participate in Education, Employment or Training.
  • Work within a collaborative team environment under the general direction of the Program Manager, Jobs Tasmania to review, evaluate and report on relevant aspects of the Tasmanian workforce development, employment and training systems to improve labour-force participation, economic productivity and training and employment outcomes for Tasmanian businesses, job seekers and communities.

Desirable Requirements

  • Qualifications and/or considerable experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Current Driver Licence
