The role
We are seeking someone with strong experience on verification leadership and methodology to join our CPU HW team. The team is responsible for delivering our RISC-V CPU IP portfolio. Our activities cover CPU product development, overall CPU Technology strategy, CPU micro-architecture exploration, establishing best-in class CPU design and verification methodologies and engineering practises and RISC-V ecosystem engagement.
This role will give the opportunity to contribute in the following two areas:
- CPU Product delivery – Be part of the leadership team of a CPU product development, leading the technical outcome and execution of the verification team aiming for on-time delivery and highquality of our IP.
- CPU Verification Strategy – Play a vital role and contribute to the definition and evolution of our long-term verification strategy, with additional opportunities to influence the overall verification alignment in Imagination and engage with the wider RISC-V ecosystem.

You will have:
- Experience in leading project teams and related verification activities in all stages of the project, from initial concept to final release.
- A proven track record of ownership and closure of verification environments for complex RTL designs
- Significant experience in defining verification requirements, testbench architecture, and challenges of verification closure
- The ability to analyse complex micro-architectures and devise the best verification approach
- Strong working knowledge of ASIC design methodologies, flows and tools
- The ability to identify gaps and improvements in verification methodology and propose solutions
- Experience with modern Continuous Integration and Code Management methodologies and best practises
- Experience in collaborating with design and verification engineers ensuring the appropriate verification strategy achieving expected quality
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire the engineering team
- Experience operating in a dynamic environment and support decision making processes that set the direction of the engineering team
- Experience in leading teams
- Effective critical analysis and proven decision-making skills, with the capability to present complex ideas in simple terms
You might also have:
- Domain-specific knowledge of CPU Verification and related tools and methodologies
- Working knowledge of RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture
- Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO26262 and its application in IP development
