The role

Our Quality Engineer is responsible for driving efficiencies and best practice in our engineering process that will help Imagination reinvent the future.

Working with stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to our Quality Management System and supporting internal audit programmes, continuous improvement cycle and formal accreditation to standards. You will work in a software centric environment to drive adoption and compliance to ensure Quality best practices across our worldwide teams. You will represent Quality at Imagination within Engineering, reporting to Business Operations, collaborating with a team of internal auditors and senior engineering managers. At the centre of our compliance activities, our Quality Engineer really is an integral part of Imagination’s Quality operations.

The role reports into the Quality Manager

You will:

  • Drive efficiencies by promoting best practice in process development and continuous improvement
  • Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Management system across Engineering
  • Support a structured internal audit programme with our team of qualified internal auditors
  • Develop a roadmap of Quality activities for Engineering, ensuring our internal capabilities meet requirements
  • Promote and champion the adoption of the Quality Management System within Engineering teams
  • Support the engagements with external certification bodies
  • Work closely with our Automotive operations group to support the requirements of functional safety
  • Work with all tiers of management to maintain companywide adoption of the Quality Management System
  • Represent the status of the Engineering Quality Management System to top management during regular management reviews

You'll have:

  • On the ground experience of technology companies (semiconductor or software)
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work with all levels of an organisation
  • Good knowledge of fundamental Quality management standards (9001, CMMI, ASPICE,)
  • A track record improving efficiencies through best practice implementation of a Quality Management system
  • Experience leading internal audit programmes
  • Integrity and a strong work ethic
  • A background in software engineering

You might also have:

  • Experience of functional safety with a knowledge of ISO 26262
  • Experience working with certification bodies
