The role

Imagination Technologies’ automotive grade IP designs have an inherent need to be supported by a safety and security qualifiable designs in accordance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434. Owing to the development of new and exciting CPU and GPU products for the automotive sector, we need to grow the business capability and team in hardware and software-security engineering.  To this end, we are seeking an accomplished engineer who has experience in the development of safety and security-orientated analysis, requirements and architectures for complex electronic devices.

You will:

• Define the cybersecurity scope.
• Lead and coordinate the cybersecurity-related activities for the products under development.
• Apply deep technical understanding and application of ISO 21434 standard to the design and development of semiconductor IP/software.
• Conduct cybersecurity analyses, cybersecurity case development and verification.
• Support the definition of necessary verification methods such as fuzz testing, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing etc.
• Develop cybersecurity concepts for the product design with the engineering development teams.
• Support the development of TARA, Cybersecurity goals, and continuous development of the guidelines or work instructions for cybersecurity artefacts.
• Approve and maintain the processes/procedures/guidelines for cybersecurity throughout the organisation.
• Raise awareness of cybersecurity throughout the organisation.

You'll have:

• Degree qualified in relevant field to semiconductor hardware development e.g. Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering etc. or qualification by experience.
• An understanding of ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 standards, requirements and expectations, or exposure to environments which have worked to such standards of their equivalents for a given sector/application.
• Semiconductor design/deployment experience.
• A working understanding of modern pipelined CPU microarchitectures.
• Ability and experience in conducting cybersecurity-oriented design analysis.
• Deep understanding of V-model, Validation and Verification concepts.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering concepts.
• Requirements Engineering practitioner.
  • Experience in associated toolchain would be an advantage e.g. Codebeamer, Doors, Jama Connect of similar.
• Experience working in global development teams in distributed working environments.

You might also have:

• Practitioner experience of the ISO 21434 standard
• Practitioner experience in the development of ISO 26262 qualifiable products, up to and including ASIL-D
• Experience in RISC-V CPU development
• Experience in GPU development
• Experience in embedded system design and development
• Chartered, or demonstrably working towards Chartership with a professional engineering institution.
