The role
This position is a unique opportunity to manage a team of hardware engineers working on cutting-edge designs within the prestigious PowerVR Graphics group. Day to day, you’ll take responsibility for managing the team and overseeing their work.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in GPU verification and GPU technical leadership roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing verification leadership to Imagination GPU projects, influencing the Imagination GPU verification methodologies, planning, and delivery of our GPU roadmap.
You will:
- Manage the team leaders to plan and execute their work effectively
- Be a key member of the Project Leadership team ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of Imagination GPU IPs
- Be accountable for the on-target delivery of Imagination GPU products meeting the agreed product requirements.
- Define and enhance methodologies for high-complexity GPU improving the overall quality, efficiency, and velocity of the pre-silicon verification and validation teams.
- Interact closely with the architecture and design teams, influencing product definition, implementation, and verification.
- Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of test plans, test sequences and directed tests.
- Have strong experience developing sophisticated verification environments based on System Verilog, UVM, and/or C++
- Ensure the correctness and quality of design specifications and customer technical documentation
- Support and influence product definition taking into consideration the commercial opportunities and engineering constraints
- Have proven skills to lead cross-organizational teams where participants are not direct reports, motivating technical contributors and driving innovation.
- Participate in customer meetings, both pre and post-sales
- Foster innovation and promote and drive the best engineering practices within the project team
- Support activities around future roadmap features and performance requirements
- Assist with the recruitment of engineering talent

You'll have:
- Team and people management experience
- Have a proven track record of major technical leadership roles, from initial concept to final release
- Strong technical skills and are happy to work at all levels from high-level strategy to hands-on debugging
- A good knowledge of digital integrated circuit design and verification techniques and methodologies
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to operate in a dynamic environment and support decision-making processes that set the direction of the engineering team
- Have strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire the engineering team
- Have significant experience in leading engineering teams in a global, multi-location environment
- Have a proven track record of major technical leadership roles in GPU development, from initial concept to final release

You might also have:
- Have expertise in GPU architecture, microarchitecture and GPU applications and solutions.
- Experience in the use of formal verification methodology
- Knowledge of standard bus protocols (e.g., AMBA5 CHI, AMBA4 ACE or AXI)
- Understanding of functional safety standards such as ISO26262
