The role:

This role leads the on-ground delivery and strategic direction of works across the Penrith Lakes government-owned land, bringing together environmental protection, infrastructure development, and delivering community outcomes. It’s about creating long-term value — balancing sustainability, recreation, and ecological health — while ensuring responsible resource management aligned with NSW Government priorities.

A key part of the role involves building strong relationships with state and local agencies  to coordinate projects, manage risks, and deliver shared objectives. With multiple priorities at play, the role requires agility to respond to evolving requirements, strong leadership to align diverse interests, and clear communication to keep stakeholders updated every step of the way.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Superior knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for successfully delivering programs that integrate sustainability, community and environmental outcomes
  • High level experience to design, execute, and evaluate complex initiatives — with a focus on driving measurable results through effective project governance and stakeholder engagement.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in project/program management or equivalent
  • Recognised project management certification (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) and demonstrated 5 years practical experience in applying project management principles, or at least 5 years’ experience in project delivery using recognised project management tools, platforms, or methodologies.
