  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 + super

 

Our Energy Infrastructure team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project and Policy Officer, Lands to provide strategic policy and project leadership on matters related to land that is essential for the delivery of critical energy infrastructure projects.

The role provides strategic policy leadership on land acquisition matters for the Operations and Compliance Branch and initiates project management activities for the land acquisitions team, working on projects including Renewable Energy Zones and HumeLink.

In this role you will have the opportunity to drive stakeholder engagement, cross-agency and Ministerial liaison, collaborate with legal teams, prepare briefing and communication materials and oversee reporting. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of new processes and policy positions to support land acquisition activities across the Operations and Compliance Branch.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role you will bring experience in policy analysis and development in the context of contemporary government policies and regulatory requirements with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions. You will have experience in managing the expectations and priorities of various stakeholders, internal and external. Your ability to operate flexibly in a high workload environment with multiple competing deadlines will be of value in this role.

 

Your demonstrated experience in or knowledge of land tenure matters will be highly beneficial to being successful in this role, as will your ability and willingness to learn and test existing positions and approaches.
