This is a dynamic opportunity to lead the way in shaping how EnergyCo connects, inspires and empowers its people. As Manager Workforce Engagement & Communication, you’ll drive strategic initiatives that bring EnergyCo’s purpose, values and culture to life by creating an informed, connected and engaged workforce. You’ll be at the centre of delivering high-impact communication and engagement strategies, advising executives on best-practice approaches and using data-driven insights to strengthen culture and employee experience. This role is ideal for an innovative communicator and culture-builder who thrives on influencing organisational change, championing inclusion and wellbeing and ensuring every employee feels valued and part of EnergyCo’s exciting journey.
About You
You are an experienced organisational development specialist with a passion for creating connected, high-performing workplaces. With deep expertise in workforce engagement, you know how to turn strategy into action by leading initiatives that strengthen culture, enhance the employee experience and bring organisational values to life. You’re skilled at crafting clear, compelling communication that resonates across diverse audiences and channels, ensuring every message inspires alignment and trust.
You bring a strong grasp of change management and project delivery, with proven success in taking engagement strategies and EVP initiatives from concept to implementation. You don’t just analyse workforce insights - you act on them, using tools like PMES results to drive positive, measurable change. Your ability to collaborate across teams, influence senior leaders and deliver outcomes that build a more engaged, inclusive and high-performing workforce makes you the ideal person to lead EnergyCo’s next phase of cultural growth.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as communications, human resources, organisational development, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce engagement and internal communications in a complex organisation.

Who we are?
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
