Are you ready to lead strategic planning that drives digital transformation and investment across one of NSW’s most impactful departments?

 

We are looking for a Senior Advisor, Strategy & Planning, whose expertise will help shape the departments IT investment pipeline and digital strategy to deliver smarter, more sustainable outcomes for NSW.

 

As Senior Advisor, Strategy & Planning, you’ll lead the coordination of IT investment planning and project prioritisation across the department. You’ll provide expert advice to ensure alignment with strategic goals, optimise resource allocation, and support evidence-based decision-making. You’ll also play a key role in enhancing governance, building stakeholder relationships, and driving innovation.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and management of DCCEEW’s IT investment pipeline
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess funding needs
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility of project progress
  • Align initiatives with strategic priorities and support IT strategy execution
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in IT strategy development and business planning, supported by a strong understanding of project management methodologies. They will be skilled in preparing strategic reports and performance assessments that inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience will further enable them to contribute effectively to the department’s data, digital and IT planning initiatives.
