Are you ready to lead transformative workforce initiatives that will shape the future of NSW’s public sector? Join DCCEEW—a department at the forefront of climate action, environmental protection, and sustainable water management—as our next Associate Director, Workforce Strategy.

 

As Associate Director, Workforce Strategy, you’ll be the strategic force behind our workforce transformation. You’ll design and deliver future-focused initiatives that build capability, drive agility, and ensure our workforce is ready for tomorrow’s challenges.

 

You’ll lead:

  • Enterprise-wide workforce planning and scenario modelling
  • Talent acquisition and mobility strategies
  • Workforce analytics and intelligence
  • Inclusive and future-ready workforce policies
  • Strategic partnerships across government and industry

 

About You

With a proven track record in strategic workforce planning and reform, the ideal candidate brings deep expertise in workforce analytics and data-driven decision-making. They have successfully led transformation initiatives in complex environments, demonstrating strong stakeholder engagement and policy development capabilities. Their approach is grounded in collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation—driving meaningful change and building future-ready organisations.

Who we are

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) works to protect the state’s environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change, driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy, powered by affordable, reliable, and clean energy.

 DCCEEW conserves and protects the state’s natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

 DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.

We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
