The role

In this role, you’ll be the trusted source for high-quality data analytics and geospatial advice, helping project teams and stakeholders at the Bradfield Development Authority make smart, timely decisions. You’ll turn complex spatial and non-spatial data into clear maps, insights, and reports—whether it’s for print, online, or interactive platforms—always keeping quality and presentation top-notch.

You’ll be hands-on with everything from publishing cartographic products to developing robust data protocols, ensuring there’s always a reliable single source of truth. Your strong customer focus means you’ll work closely with both internal and external partners, making sure data is fit for purpose and delivered on time, even when priorities shift or deadlines are tight.

What you will bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience in geospatial and data analytics software to support organisational activities.
  • Strong skills in database design, management and maintenance.
  • Experience in the following :
    • Use of geospatial software and related tools such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, MapInfo Pro, PostGIS, SQL Server, Microsoft Office 365, Tableau and Power BI
    • Application and support of GIS and data analytics technologies and a working understanding of enterprise grade geospatial applications
    • Configuring, programming and managing of distributed mapping platforms such as ArcGIS Pro or Enterprise, Giraffe, Land iQ, MapBox and Carto.
    • Interpretation of client requirements and the generation of high quality spatial outputs and analysis outcomes for use in various presentations and communication products
    • The use of CAD software for viewing DWG files, the selection and export of layers, and the transformation of content for use in spatial applications.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to contribute to group efforts and support colleagues in achieving objectives. 
  • Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in. 
  • Enjoys autonomy and demonstrates proficiency in working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions. 

What is an essential requirement:

  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS technology or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
