Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving the growth of our new business initiatives. The incumbent will also lead a team of skilled underwriters and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective strategies for risk assessment, underwriting efficiency and client/business partner experience enhancement.

Job Requirements: 

• Degree holder with professional insurance qualification (e.g. FLMI or ICA).
• 15 years or above progressive experience in underwriting, preferably in life insurance with 8 years at management level
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex risk scenarios.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in spoken & written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
