Main Responsibilities

  • Works with team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of the strategy by market segment
  • Ensures coverage of both local and international market with a focus on RFP acceptance
  • Responsible for the account management of key and prospect accounts
  • Keeps up to date with progress of all projects in the city to ensure capture of all potential business
  • Analyzes team performance to ensure financial targets are met
  • Makes recommendations for shortfalls and opportunities
  • Assists with the development of the team through training and coaching the team
  • Maintains accurate records of training of the team, development needs and progress
  • Cross sells brand across MOHG portfolio through Mobilise programme and ensures Sales Team cross sells at all times
  • Ensures that all calls and sales leads are answered in a timely manner and as per company standards

Requirements

  • Senior school qualifications
  • Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment within Sales and Banqueting
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Mature and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skills for both external and internal customers
  • Strong business acumen with ability to analyze financial statements, revenue reports and market data
