  • Recruit and retain foster carers providing them with the required training and support
  • Permanent |full time| based at our office in Dandenong
  • Marketing, enquires, carer assessment, training, accreditation and information sessions

 

Your role:

  • Targeted carer recruitment and coordination of carer assessments.
  • Develop a clear recruitment strategy including advertising channels, preparation and placing of recruitment ads.
  • Present and deliver carer information sessions.
  • Assess the foster carers by conducting assessments and identify potential placements for new carers.
  • Take all enquiries from new carers and potential carers.
  • Think strategically and work as part of a team to overcome the challenges associated with the recruitment of new carers.

About you:

  • Demonstrated training and assessment skills including the presentation/facilitation of training/information sessions, and conducting pre accreditation assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to devise and implement media campaigns in a creative and professional manner pertinent to the needs of Foster Care recruitment.
  • Not-for-profit experience and previous out-of-home home care sector knowledge is highly desirable
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, communicating with influence, organisational, planning, and relationship management skills.

 

Qualifications/Licenses:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, welfare or related disciplines or matching skills to perform the role.
  • Driving license.

  • Salary starts at around $94,000 (Level 5 SCHCADS)
  • Office location: Dandenong
  • Full time, permanent
