Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, implementation, facilitation, sustainment, and measurement of training within assigned areas of responsibility. Consults with leaders in assigned client divisions and provides impactful learning experiences and resources to build individual, team, and leadership competence and confidence. Maintains ownership of New Team Member Experience through orientation and onboarding processes and initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, design and develop new training programs and resources. Ensure training materials are updated, relevant and support current Standard Operating Procedures. Establish measurement and assessment tools to assess training impact and effectiveness. Analyze trends, identify gaps, use park metrics / measures (Guest and Team Member survey data, turnover, performance management data, etc.) to consult with client divisions and develop targeted training plans.
  • Provide performance feedback to Trainers and create development plans to ensure direct reports meet goals and objectives. Work with Trainers to develop communication and consulting skills to support training goals of client divisions.
  • Evaluate training provided by Talent Development Trainers and hourly On-The-Job Trainers to ensure quality and consistency; coach individuals to improve facilitation and curriculum design skills. Support the certification of On-The-Job Trainers and partners with client divisions to ensure alignment with TD standards.
  • Partner with and support client groups with special events and initiatives; deliver and facilitate structured training / development in support of the company’s training plan, objectives and brand essence. Assess training needs based on partner data (BAIE, TA, Client) and conducts refresher training, awareness training, new hire orientation and pertinent departmental trainings accordingly.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years in training required;
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.
