Manager, Wardrobe – Universal Epic Universe

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Manage the operation and provides direction and development to the supervisory team. Uses analytical skills to ensure that the assigned business units are meeting department standards for guest and team member satisfaction and financial goals while maintaining the highest safety standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for administrative tasks including, but are not limited to, daily inter-department correspondence, generates order requests and purchase requisitions, manages current inventory, technology, maintains regular meetings with assistant managers and supervisors and maintains accurate files, etc. Oversees the park grooming guidelines and wardrobe standards within the resort.
  • Oversees the implementation of all new wardrobe programs that may take place in select parks and/or destinations. Ensures that employees are properly sized and assigned appropriate sizes and par levels of wardrobe.
  • Oversees the wardrobe distribution counter/stations and fitting of all new employees. Ensures that inventory is in satisfactory condition and supplies are kept to established par levels. Also ensures that professional customer service is maintained. Monitors success levels of the daily operation. Ensures the laundry is completed as contracted and invoices are reconciled with counts. Meets with laundry vendors to ensure quality and service is performed.
  • Responsible for all labor and non-labor budget development for Resort Services Support and planning for following year’s budget. Also responsible for tracking and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for proper staffing levels on a daily basis, training and development of supervisor team as well as proper training for hourly team members. Directs employee counseling and discipline. Promotes staff members based on job performance.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • Technical school preferred.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Dry Cleaning, Laundry Management, or Operation Management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
