Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Provide financial support to the New Ventures business including oversight of cost tracking of pre-opening start up activities, consolidation of the New Ventures finance portfolio, vendor payment management, monthly forecasting, financial reporting, and general financial support.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and execute month-end financial close processes including reviewing and approving various journal entries, preparing or reviewing reports at various levels of the business for actuals, documenting variance explanations and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Oversee monthly pre-opening cost reporting for each project including a monthly forecast and distribute to management, assist with development of annual operating plan, pacing and LE submission data.
  • Oversee research and reconciliation of pre-opening transaction activity to assist with validation of accurate reporting including appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Oversee vendor management functions including vendor setup, purchase order and invoice approvals as well as lead resolution of any issues with vendor payments.
  • Lead development and maintenance of SOP documentation over corporate and operational financial processes.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders throughout the business to effectively complete assigned tasks.
  • Manage direct reports by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of relevant Finance experience required;
  • 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
