Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Manages and oversees the operations and development of the team that plans and executes the youth market programs and events. Specializes in execution of complex special events and meeting productions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages select event managers by communicating departmental revenue goals and providing resources to achieve those goals. Provides leadership, mentoring and evaluates accountabilities by establishing and enforcing departmental procedures and policies.
  • Provides logistics support to Youth Sales and troubleshoots logistics challenges with Sales Managers, Event Managers, and Internal Partners.
  • Manages special event preparation and execution by serving as liaison with special event clients, performing onsite management, client site inspections, budgets, and all closeouts/reporting.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree within related discipline (Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing) is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ experience in special events or conference/meetings with food & beverage required and 1+ year supervisory/management experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • CMP or CSEP certification preferred but not required.
